“From what I can remember, Phu Vinh Chinese and Vietnamese restaurant has been around for a long time. Attached to the Footscray markets, it faces the main street in Footscray with large glass windows. For ambiance, I wouldn’t pick it for a restaurant I would normally go to as it’s a bit close to the markets. However a friends recommendation sent me here to explore with a few friends. I was pleasantly surprised with the food it served, as it was full of flavour.”

“Phu Vinh is hard to miss, located with a large shop front on the main shopping strip of Footscray. It is connected directly with the Footscray Markets. It is both a good and a bad thing. If you have a sensitive nose, you may be able to smell the remnants of the meat and vegetables from the market if they leave the rear access door open. I wouldn’t say its the cleanest or newest furnished restaurant but it is reasonable.

Nothing to complain about for service. We were able to order our food and it came out in a reasonable time this weeknight.

The presentation and taste of the food was delicious. I couldn’t complain.Ā Would definitely return again to try the wet Hu Tieu.”
